Three RJLF Partners Honored as 2024 “Top 250 Women in Litigation” by Benchmark Litigation

 

RJLF partners Christine Lehman, Sarah Jorgensen, and Amy Ruhland have been honored as 2024 "Top 250 Women in Litigation" by Benchmark Litigation. This recognition highlights their significant contributions to the legal field through involvement in some of the most impactful litigation cases in recent history, as well as earning the well-deserved respect of their peers and clients, according to Benchmark. Notably, nearly half of RJLF’s women partners have earned a spot on this prestigious list.

Christine Lehman is the Managing Partner of RJLF's Washington, D.C. office. With a background in engineering, she focuses on patent litigation, particularly in U.S. District Courts and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). Known for her strategic insights, Lehman has been recognized as a leading ITC Section 337 practitioner by Chambers USA and as one of the "Top 250 Women in IP" globally—being among only 60 attorneys ranked in the U.S. by Managing IP. Her leadership extends beyond litigation, as she spearheaded RJLF’s efforts to achieve Midsize Mansfield Certification “Plus” status, promoting diversity in law firm leadership. Her career is marked by significant victories, including a landmark $673 million award for Kove IO against Amazon Web Services.

Sarah Jorgensen is a founding partner with over 25 years of experience. She handles complex commercial litigation, focusing on trial and appellate matters across various sectors, including antitrust and energy. Jorgensen has been instrumental in the firm's energy practice, working on significant issues related to the natural gas industry and clean energy. Her recent accolades include being named “Attorney of the Year” at the 2024 Southeastern Legal Awards by Law.com. Jorgensen's career highlights include clerking for U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist and the recent Ninth Circuit victory in the California Restaurant Association v. City of Berkeley case.

Amy Ruhland, the Managing Partner of the firm’s Austin office, brings over 20 years of experience as a trial lawyer and trusted advisor, representing clients in high-stakes disputes worldwide. Ruhland's trial practice spans state and federal courts across the U.S., and she has managed complex appeals, including those to the Texas Supreme Court and the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition to her Benchmark Litigation accolade, she has also been ranked in Legal 500 for products liability and mass torts defense.
