RJLF Secures Sweeping Remedy for Corning at the ITC

The RJLF team secured a crucial trial victory for Corning Optical at the International Trade Commission, which found the respondents in violation of Section 337 and issued a General Exclusion Order against all infringing products. The win for Corning bars all infringing products from the U.S. for the life of the patents.

RJLF filed a patent infringement complaint asserting five patents against over a dozen companies importing fiber optic equipment. Corning developed and sells the EDGE products, which permit a greater density of fiber-optic connections in an industry-standard rack space than any prior equipment. The infringing products replicate the innovative EDGE design for domestic consumers looking to maximize the efficiency of their equipment in data centers. Corning sought a general exclusion order against all infringing products, regardless of the importer.

Led by Christine Lehman, the RJLF team also included Connor Houghton and co-counsel Kellogg Hansen. The case is Certain High-Density Fiber Optic Equipment and Components Thereof, 337-TA-1194.
