Benchmark Litigation Ranks RJLF as Top Trial Boutique and Leading IP Firm

Nearly Half of Partnership Ranked as Litigation Stars

Benchmark Litigation, in its 2025 edition, once again recognized Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg LLP (RJLF) among the top trial boutiques as well as a leading intellectual property firm nationwide. RJLF also ranked in the District of Columbia and California for commercial and intellectual property litigation capabilities. Additionally, eight of the firm's partners have been distinguished as "Litigation Stars."

In less than six years since its launch, Benchmark noted that the majority women-owned firm has made a “notable impression on the legal community” and fostered a robust “trial-forward” approach. The firm has not only widened its geographical reach with the opening of its Austin office—complementing its existing network in Silicon Valley, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, and New York—but also amplified its trial prowess with the addition of Amy Ruhland, a seasoned trial lawyer from Texas, who joined the firm from DLA Piper in August 2023. Benchmark also highlighted the strategic addition of partner Matthew Berkowitz to its Silicon Valley office. Berkowitz, who earned his stripes at Shearman & Sterling (now A&O Shearman), is now building a practice at RJLF comprised of both plaintiff- and defense-side work.

Client & Peer Feedback

[RJLF is] “smart and hungry
They started national. And yet they are still lean and nimble.
The firm does an exceptional job preparing complex technical cases for trial before a lay jury. The firm also uses technology such as internal databases well to disseminate relevant information to the entire team quickly, which is exceedingly important in a fast-moving yet complex case.
They are known for doing a lot of IP work but it’s more than just standard patent cases – it’s more diverse, with a lot of it crossing over into antitrust and even bankruptcy.
