Taylor Mauze Honored as Rising Star by Texas Lawyer

Taylor Mauze

Trial attorney Taylor Mauze has been recognized as a Rising Star by Texas Lawyer, part of ALM’s esteemedTexas Legal Awards. The honor is awarded to the state’s most accomplished lawyers who are under 40 years of age.

Taylor's impressive journey spans from her electrical engineering roots to working as a clerk for the nation’s busiest patent judge, all the way to helping secure multimillion-dollar jury verdicts for clients. Her focus as a litigator and trial attorney lies in late-stage litigation and trials, encompassing motions practice, evidentiary disputes, and witness preparation. One of her key achievements includes helping to secure an $84 million willful patent infringement verdict on behalf of Cirba against VMware. After a five-day jury trial and only two hours of deliberation, the jurors concluded that VMware willfully infringed Cirba's cutting-edge virtualization technology patent, awarding Cirba $84 million in damages. The jury's swift determination of willful infringement led to the team's recognition in The AmLaw Litigation Daily's Shout Out.

This award was given to fewer than 30 attorneys across the state of Texas. The full list of awardees can be found here.
