RJLF Wins $673 Million Total Award for Kove Against AWS

 

Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg LLP (RJLF), an elite majority women-owned trial boutique, won post-trial motions for a total award of $673 million on behalf of Kove IO, Inc. against Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS).

On August 20, 2024, the final judgment was announced by Judge Matthew Kennelly of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. The judgment upheld a $525 million patent infringement verdict and ordered an additional $­­148 million in interest.

This dispute dates back to 2018, when RJLF filed suit on behalf of Kove, a company established by two University of Chicago Ph.D. graduates and co-inventors.
