Reichman Jorgensen Recognized as “Elite Boutique” by The National Law Journal

Redwood Shores, Calif.– Reichman Jorgensen LLP has been recognized as an “Elite Boutique” by The National Law Journal. The publication’s “Trailblazers” special supplement profiles Managing Partner Courtland Reichman, who is credited as an agent of change given the firm’s impact and unique business model.

“We strived to set a new standard for litigation firms by truly putting our clients first, which is reflected in everything from our case management systems and simplified billing practices, to our cutting edge ESI technology and elite roster of trial lawyers,” said Courtland Reichman. “The National Law Journal’s ‘Elite Boutique Trailblazer’ award underscores our commitment to clients, the extraordinary qualifications of our lawyers, and how we’re reimagining the practice of law.”

Founded in October 2018, Reichman Jorgensen boldly entered the market as a trial boutique with an ambition to create a new standard for litigation firms. Focusing on high-stakes commercial and intellectual property disputes, the majority women-owned trial firm made national headlines for breaking away from many law firm traditions, including eliminating the billable hour, the standard partnership track, and lockstep compensation. In another departure from industry norms, Reichman Jorgensen is truly diverse. More than half of the firm’s lawyers are women, 2/3 of the partners are women, and 30% of the lawyers are ethnically diverse.

The firm proved its trial power in January when it represented Densify in securing a $236 million verdict and willful infringement finding against tech giant VMware, Inc. The verdict was announced on January 24, 2020, following a nine-day jury trial in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware. Jurors awarded Densify $236 million in damages finding that VMware willfully infringed two Densify patents that cover virtualization technology that enables multiple computer systems to run on a single server. Mr. Reichman was recognized as The American Lawyer “Litigator of the Week” following his success as lead trial counsel for Densify.

Reichman Jorgensen LLP is an elite national trial firm that handles high-stakes commercial litigation and intellectual property disputes. The firm is majority women-owned and rejects the billable hour in favor of fee arrangements that align client interests. Reichman Jorgensen’s attorneys are diverse, exceptionally credentialed, and passionate about trial advocacy. From offices in Silicon Valley, New York, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, the firm tries cases and argues appeals throughout the country. For more information, visit www.reichmanjorgensen.com.
