RJLF's Courtland Reichman named 2022 NLJ Plaintiffs’ Trailblazer

Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg’s Courtland Reichman Recognized as a 2022 Plaintiffs’ Trailblazer by The National Law Journal

(May 5, 2022) Redwood Shores, Calif. – The National Law Journal has recognized Courtland Reichman, Managing Partner of Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg LLP (RJLF), as a 2022 Plaintiffs’ Trailblazer. The publication’s annual feature profiles plaintiffs’ lawyers who are “born leaders," crediting Mr. Reichman as an agent of change given RJLF’s impact and unique business model.

“This award is really about our firm more than anything else.  Our approach focuses on serving clients' needs and winning cases. The billable hour is bad for clients, lawyers, and the profession,” said Mr. Reichman. “In the war for talent, our philosophy is to create a unique opportunity for high achievers to move up as quickly as their talent will permit, while not burdening them with artificial limits and measuring their talent by tenths of an hour.”

Ranked among the “Top 100” trial lawyers in the United States and “Top 20” in California by Benchmark Litigation, Mr. Reichman has more than 25 years’ experience trying complex commercial litigation and intellectual property disputes across a broad range of industries. His trial prowess as lead counsel for Densify in a high-profile patent dispute resulted in a $236 million verdict, earning him The American Lawyer’s “Litigator of the Week.” The verdict on behalf of Densify was recognized in The National Law Journal’s 2021 “Verdicts Hall of Fame” and among the “Top 100 Verdicts of 2020.” Another recent achievement included securing a $15 million patent infringement verdict on behalf of Droplets, Inc. against tech giant Yahoo, Inc., following a three-week jury trial in the Northern District of California. Mr. Reichman has also been awarded Benchmark Litigation’s “Silicon Valley Litigator of the Year” for three consecutive years (2020-2022).

Mr. Reichman is a graduate of Swarthmore College, where he studied economics, and Emory University School of Law, where he graduated Order of the Coif. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable R. Lanier Anderson III on the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
