Mike McEntee has over 25 years in the electronics and software industry and is a registered patent agent. Leveraging his background in electrical engineering and computer science, Mike has prosecuted patents in the areas of 5G wireless, cloud computing, social networks, Internet of things, mobile healthcare, artificial intelligence, neural networks and big data.  

Before joining the firm, Mike provided his patent advisory expertise to several law firms such as Womble Bond Dickinson, Haynes and Boone, FisherBroyles, and Farrell IP Law, along with consulting for patent licensing firms, operating companies, and additional law firms.

His legal industry career was preceded by significant leadership roles at InterDigital Communications, where he excelled as Senior Director of Corporate Development, spearheading the analysis and acquisition of patent portfolios for strategic licensing initiatives. Earlier, as Senior Director of Product Management, he led the management of advanced wireless products like WCDMA and LTE.

Prior to InterDigital, Mike was the Director of the Silicon Foundry Business unit at Standard Microsystems, managing business development for manufacturing services with a focus on MicroElectroMechanical Systems.

Mike's career began in managing robotic automation products for Festo Corporation and designing semiconductor test systems for Northrop Grumman Corp.

Additionally, he contributes to academia as a member of the Advisory Board of the Department of Management & Entrepreneurship at Hofstra University and is the inventor of U.S. Patent 8,665,899, which details an architecture for integrating a soft mobile VoIP client in a cellular PC card.
